EXPERIENCE

- University has become more intense. But I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am no longer scared off the fast-paced learning but thrive off it.

- I have been utilising the resources we have a lot more including the library 1-1 sessions and have been finding them truly so valuable.

- End of October – handed in Future thinking report, 3 weeks later got the feedback and grade.

- Had first meeting about the FMB Final Year showcase – I am deputy of the Promotions Team, covering social media, print and PR. Means I am meeting new people, building my CV and creating bigger connections.

FEELINGS

- Mainly feelings of motivation and interest for my Stage 1. Continuing with a similar theme from my Future Thinking, it continues to resonate and intrigue me the most. I am nervous about gaining primary research as I know taboo subjects can be sensitive.

- Was overall happy with the feedback regarding my Future Thinking and confidently have been working on the improvements since. Super reassuring feedback from my tutor as well which is really encouraging and positive.

- Nervous for the Stage 1 as it actually contributes to the grade.

- Grateful for the people around me who are willing to help me with my project. Really enjoying making more friends and going out for coffee more.

- Feeling supported by all the university staff.

EVALUATION

- (GOOD) This month I have used more resources which are offered to us and I believe it has truly help me so much; especially in areas such as developing my critical writing and helping construct my literature review. This is something in the past I have been criticised for however getting help on it has made me feel confident that I can do well in this assignment. As well as this, my referencing is now 100% correct, again after having a 1-1 with Heather. I feel overall, I am also mentally in a better place than last month and have been able to balance the work and social life better.

- (BAD) Health wise – things have slightly changed for me. Feel slightly overwhelmed with doing university work and the need to possibly look for jobs.

WHAT I AM TAKING AWAY

- Especially from the future thinking feedback, I want to try to progress and work on my limitations to better myself for Stage 1. I have been criticised for my lack of critical writing and needed help on my referencing. I have a grade I would love to achieve, and I hope with the improvements I have done and by reaching out through resources and getting the help do believe I can get there. I know December will have time challenges due to the Christmas break so I hope to be onto of my project but also to allow myself a break. I want to successfully plan my primary research so it will be done by the time I am back.

Here are some examples of my Future Thinking Report.
